On 9th October 2025, members of the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland ry enjoyed a very special morning at the latest Members’ Breakfast, hosted by Howden Finland Oy. The event featured His Majesty’s Ambassador to Finland, Laura Davies, who presented the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy - a comprehensive framework designed to drive sustainable growth and innovation across the United Kingdom.
The Ambassador outlined the eight key sectors that form the focus of the strategy: advanced manufacturing, clean energy, defence, creative industries, digital and technologies, financial services, life sciences, and professional and business services. Each of these areas reflects the UK’s ambition to strengthen its global leadership through innovation, skills, and international collaboration. The Strategy document is available online.
